Saudi Aramco offers scholarship for Korean students with disabilities

As a part of Saudi Aramco’s global corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, Aramco Korea Limited donated KRW 50 million in funds to Community Chest Korea to support a number of Korean university students with disabilities majoring in sciences, technology and energy in a ceremony held in Seoul, Korea on January 27, 2015.

Mr. Mohammed Al-Hassnah, representative director of Aramco Asia Korea, presented the funds to the Community’s Chairman Dr. Dong-Soo Hur during the ceremony and hoped the scholarship would assist the students with disabilities to continue their studies and help them become a normal and active member of the society. Moreover, he has highlighted that such community engagements by Saudi Aramco and its affiliates where they operate truly reflect the corporate endeavour to play a good citizenship role. Dr. Hur also expressed his appreciation for offering opportunities to the students to keep up their studies for the development of future generation energy industry.

The Saudi Aramco Oil Company (Saudi Aramco), a fully integrated, global petroleum and chemicals enterprise, established its Korean subsidiary in 2012.
