Aramco Korea (AAK) offers financial support — in the form of donations to the Community Chest of Korea, a Korean nonprofit charity — to support disabled students attending Korean universities.

In a ceremony held in capital Seoul on September 7, 2017, AAK Representative Director Fahad Al-Sahali presented the funds to the Community’s Chairman Dr. Dong-Soo Hur. He stated that the scholarship would assist students majoring in sciences, technology, and energy, to continue their studies and help them become active members of society.

Al-Sahali also highlighted that such community engagement programs truly reflected the company’s commitment to CSR, and being a good corporate citizen.

Dr. Hur expressed his appreciation for the opportunities. The efforts AAK has made will help these students keep up their studies and be part of the next generation energy industry leaders.

So far a total of 68 disabled students in South Korea has benefited from the AAK – Community Chest of Korea partnership.

AAK won the Minister of Health and Welfare’s Prize for Excellence in Various Donation Activities in Korea at the 5th National Sharing Grand Award held in October 2016.
