Job Title: Lead HSE Advisor (CSO)

Location: Seoul

Job Type: Regular position

Overview: Aramco Asia Korea is seeking a Lead HSE Advisor to be responsible for the safety in the laboratory, safety training for new employees to support the research work in a healthy, safe, and environmental friendly manner

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the research center facilities on HSE issues and budget as chief safety officer
  • Ensure proper process safety analysis and the development of HSE control plans
  • Conduct safety orientation for all employees in the facility
  • Ensure safety training is provided for lab staffs on HSE issues i.e. first aid, chemical hazards, etc
  • Develop and maintain safety standards and procedures for the safe handling, usage and transportation of chemical products
  • Develop best-practice emergency response and incident management strategies
  • Lead investigations into safety incidents within the facilities and develop corrective action plans
  • Monitor HSE reporting and auditing activities for clients and suppliers
  • Monitor laboratory waste treatment
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties

 Academic/Professional Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree or above, with tertiary qualification in HSE management or Chemical Engineering
  • Must have a certificate related to Industrial Safety Engineer (산업안전기사) and Hazardous Materials Engineer (위험물산업기사) over above

 Technical Skills Required:

  • The incumbent is responsible for the safety in the laboratory, safety training for new employees to support the research work in a healthy, safe, and environmental friendly manner
  • Strong decision making, business development, and team management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in solving technical issues and troubleshooting as well as the ability to work autonomously

 Experience:

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in chemical laboratory or chemical manufacturing, including managing a site HSE system to International quality standards, team management experience preferred

 Personality:

  • Motivated, independent, and hard-working with technical background
  • Proficient in English (Oral & written)
  • Ability to work in diverse and cross-functional teams, with flexibility to work in different locations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
