Aramco Asia Korea Ltd. (Aramco Korea), a fully owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, extended helping hands to ChildFund Korea (ChildFund) today, through a donation program that educates children about health awareness and protection, as part of Aramco Korea's commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).
This donation will support the philanthropic organization's fine dust precautions educational efforts, which includes distributing safety kits to less fortunate children. The kit is a package of protective masks, hand sanitizers, and health and safety educational guidelines to enhance children's awareness.
Aramco Korea has engaged in a wide range of CSR activities and contribution programs since its partnership with ChildFund began in 2015. The programs have included helping disadvantaged children in hospitals, schools, and welfare facilities, by means of scholarships and aid.
At the donation delivery ceremony held at the headquarters of ChildFund in Seoul, Fahad A. Al-Sahali, Aramco Korea's Representative Director, remarked, “Educating the children with this precautions program, and equipping them with the tools to support their daily activities, are essential for children with weak immune systems. We hope Aramco Korea's partnership with ChildFund will support children in need. Aramco Korea will continue to serve as a good corporate citizen in our community, through a wide array of community-specific initiatives.”
Je-hoon Lee, President of ChildFund, said, “We are deeply grateful to Aramco Korea for its enduring support for marginalized children. We will make sure the donation will be used to keep them safe from the dangers of fine dust.” Founded in 2012, Aramco Korea has made a wide range of community engagement efforts, including merit-based scholarships for university students with disabilities, and support for environmentally friendly energy facilities.
