Requirement / Qualifications

Academic/ Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering preferred advanced degree. 

 Technical skills required

  • Petrochemical units for swift assessments and decision Researching new technologies, regulations, and other factors that may affect business model.
  • Strong experience in Refinery-Chemicals integration strategies, competitiveness, and benchmarking.  
  • Experienced in pre-commissioning and commissioning instructions and procedures in consultation with licensors, EPC contractors and equipment vendors.
  • Technical support to the operating team for the safe and efficient operation of the Steam Cracker complex.
  • Optimization experience for plant operations to enhance productivity and reliability.
  • Participate in petrochemical unit’s process optimization and synergy between refinery and petrochemicals.
  • Knowledge on technologies, regulations, and other factors that may affect business model.

 Experience

  • At least 20 years of experience with a focus in the Petrochemicals specifically in the engineering design or operation of a Steam Cracker Complex. 
  • At least 10 years of experience in Plant Supt. Role in Petrochemicals plant/project.
  • Preferably, experience in the Linear Programming (LP) & Economics Modeling.

 Personality

  • Effective problem solving and troubleshooting abilities toward technical challenges.

     Ability to work simultaneously for multiple projects and clients involving varied technical challenges.

  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate at all levels to discuss issues and resolve problems.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally to attended meeting or support projects reviews for short period.
  • Team player with positive attitude and willingness to teach others acquired knowledge.
  • Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette.
  • Customer focused with excellent analytical skills.

 Others & Preferences

  • Strong interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skill.
  • Able to develop competitive benchmarking and/or technical studies.
  • Multi-disciplinary task oriented to handle various project activities.
  • Fluent in English 

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide expert engineering consulting to petrochemicals project organizations and develop and maintain design best practices to enhance project profitability, safety and productivity.
  • Develops and maintains Engineering Standards and Design Best Practices to enhance project profitability, safety and productivity.
  • Evaluates and introduces best practices and new technologies.
  • Review of engineering documents from licensors and contractors during the pre-FEED, FEED and EPC phases of the project.
  • Develop petrochemical unit’s Flawless project delivery, start up, Operation philosophy, and operation general instruction. 
  • Develop and work on pre-commissioning and commissioning instructions and procedures in consultation with licensors, EPC contractors and equipment vendors.
  • Provide technical support for petrochemical units particularly for the Steam Cracker complex’s operation readiness, pre-commissioning, commissioning, safe and efficient operation.
  • Participate in Steam Cracker unit’s process optimization and synergy within the project and between other petrochemicals refinery facilitates.
  • Review and update Steam Cracker unit’s drawings and Respond project to inquiries
  • Provide technical input to LP and economics modeling and capital efficiency.
  • Participate in effective project execution strategies.
  • Ensure scope, risk and interfaces are captured, manage Interfaces between internal and external parties
