Requirement / Qualifications
Academic/ Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical/process engineering.
Technical Skills Required
- Familiar with common project design phases and activities for mega projects and stages such as BEP, FEED and EPC
- Knowledge on technologies, regulations, and other factors that may affect business model. Preferably, knowledge of SA standards.
- Knowledge in pre-commissioning and commissioning instructions and procedures in consultation with licensors, EPC contractors and equipment vendors.
- Preferably, knowledge in the Linear Programming (LP) & Economics Modeling
Experience
- At least 10 years of experience with a focus in the Petrochemicals specifically in the engineering design and/or operation of a Steam Cracker Complex.
- At least 2 years of experience in Lead engineer or Plant Supt. Role in Petrochemicals plant/project.
- Preferably, experience in Saudi Aramco projects or other Petchem projects in the Arabian Gulf region.
Personality
- Effective problem solving and troubleshooting abilities toward technical challenges.
- Ability to work simultaneously for multiple projects and clients involving varied technical challenges.
- Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate at all levels to discuss issues and resolve problems.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally to attended meeting or support projects reviews for short period.
- Team player with positive attitude and willingness to teach others acquired knowledge.
- Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette.
- Excellent analytical skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Review of engineering documents from licensors and contractors during the pre-FEED, FEED and EPC phases of the project.
- Develop petrochemical unit’s Flawless project delivery, start up, Operation philosophy, and operation general instruction.
- Develop and work on pre-commissioning and commissioning instructions and procedures in consultation with licensors, EPC contractors and equipment vendors.
- Provide technical support for petrochemical units particularly for the Steam Cracker complex’s operation readiness, pre-commissioning, commissioning, safe and efficient operation.
- Develop chemical process Yields, Qualities, Opex and mass balances for process configurations in the Petrochemical units for swift assessments and decision making.
- Optimize the plant operations for enhanced productivity and reliability.
- Participate in petrochemical unit’s process optimization and synergy within the project and between other petrochemicals refinery facilitates.
- Review and update petrochemicals unit’s redline drawings and Respond to inquiries
- Provide technical input to LP and economics modeling and capital efficiency.
- Participate in effective project execution strategies.
- Liaison between Project Management and technical disciplines to achieve integration across all project disciplines.
- Ensure scope, risk and interfaces are captured, manage Interfaces between internal and external parties.
